Our Nutrition Services
Dorchester Seniors, Inc. offers complimentary meals to eligible individuals aged 60 and over, made possible by federal funding through the Older Americans Act.
Eligibility is determined via referrals from the Trident Area Agency on Aging. To qualify, you must be at least 60 years old.
Menus and recipes are developed monthly by a Registered Dietitian, ensuring that all meals adhere to the guidelines set by the American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The meals provide ⅓ of the recommended daily allowance (RDA) nutritional requirements.
Congregate Group Meals: Client lunch is served Monday- Friday from 12 pm to 12:30 pm. Private Pay individuals may purchase a meal for $7.
Home Delivered Meals: dietitian-approved meals served to homebound seniors on weekdays, excluding holidays.
Meal Reservations
To ensure you receive a meal, please make your reservation by 1:00 pm at least one day before your lunch visit or delivery.

Join Us For Prescription Pickup:
At Dorchester Seniors, Inc., we transport members to Walmart to pick up prescriptions on a monthly basis.

Arts and Crafts:

Discover the joy of learning with our diverse educational programs! From computer classes and Bible study to book clubs and beyond, we offer a variety of opportunities to expand your knowledge. Fitness and Wellness:
Stay active and healthy with our FREE fitness gym available at both of our convenient locations! We offer a diverse range of programs suited for all fitness levels, including cornhole, gentle fitness, beginner line dancing, walking clubs, and more. 50+ Fit:
Exclusive to DSI members, the 50+ Fit program offers a comprehensive and affordable exercise regimen for just $20 a month, in addition to the membership fee. Held at our Summerville location, Faith Sellers Senior Center, this monthly program includes a variety of classes such as weight training, aerobics, Zumba, yoga, belly dancing, Tai Chi, and line dancing.
