Education Classes

Knowledge is Power at Any Age
At Dorchester Seniors, Inc., we believe that curiosity never retires. Our educational programs are designed to spark new interests, provide practical life skills, and keep you connected to the world around you.
Whether you want to master your new smartphone, dive into a best-selling novel, or learn how to protect your finances, our centers offer a variety of ways to grow your mind and your confidence.
Educational programs are hosted at both our Summerville and St. George locations.
Because we frequently host guest speakers and start new class series, we recommend checking our monthly calendars for the most up-to-date schedule.
Learning, Technology & Guest Speakers
Stay engaged, informed, and confident with learning opportunities designed for adults 50+. From computer basics and smartphone help to book clubs, Bible study, and special interest groups, there’s always something new to explore alongside friends.
We also partner with local experts to offer guest speaker programs on topics like health and wellness, financial protection, avoiding scams, Medicare, and home safety—helping you stay connected, independent, and informed.
Engaging your brain with new information does more than just fill the time—it’s a vital part of a healthy lifestyle. Research shows that continuous learning helps improve memory, boost confidence, and reduce isolation, while providing a fun way to meet people with shared interests.
Most of our educational programs are free for DSI members. Simply check the calendar and show up, or call the front desk to see if a pre-registration is required for specific guest speaker events.
